Flora Njura Kanyua, the Principal of Karumo Technical Training Institute, has been recognized at the Top Legacy Women Summit & Awards 2026. She was honoured with an Excellence recognition in acknowledgement of her exceptional contributions to technical and vocational education, underscoring her commitment to advancing skills development and institutional growth.

The award, presented by Topspin Brands Ltd, specifically acknowledged her as a trailblazer in the TVET sector, underscoring her impactful leadership and continued commitment to advancing skills-based training.

The prestigious event held at Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel in Nairobi, was dedicated to celebrating women in leadership, bringing together influential women leaders from across the country to honour excellence, impact, and transformative leadership across different sectors.

Njura’s recognition highlights her continued efforts in strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), with a strong focus on skills development, discipline, and aligning training programs with industry needs. 

Under her leadership, Karumo Technical Training Institute has grown into a competitive institution known for producing competent graduates ready for the job market.

Speaking during the event, organizers noted, “This platform is dedicated to honouring women who are making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and dedication to excellence.”
